Jessica Simpson Sings The Blues on Country Album

Even Texan cowgirls such as Jessica Simpson get the blues. Speaking to Elle magazine for their September issue, Jessica Simpson talking about how her life experiences worked their way onto her upcoming album to be released September 9, 2008, in the United States and Canada. "There's nothing on my album that you're gonna hear that I don't relate to or that I haven't experienced. Because the only way I know how to sing is from life experience."

On her new track, 'Remember That,' Jessica sings about being hurt by past lovers and that you should take your heart and run because you don't deserve the physical and emotional abuse.

Jessica won't discuss publicly the details that led to such a track being recorded.

"I don't want to talk about it, but I have definitely experienced abuse in a way that I would tell people to take their heart and run."

Now that is what we call singing the blues.
