Kelly Ripa Fights Ovarian Cancer in Public Service Ads

Actress and talk show host, Kelly Ripa is lending her star power for the fight against ovarian cancer. The 36-year-old will appear in both the print and television public service announcements to promote QVC Presents Super Saturday Live. The show will broadcast on QVC July 28, 2007 from 1PM-3PM (Eastern Time). All proceeds from the event will go to benefit The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF). QVC is a leading multimedia retailer with The QVC Channel reaching more than 90 million American homes.

Kelly Ripa is a three-year host of 'Super Saturday' with the annual fundraiser broadcast live for the first time on QVC from Water Mill, New York. Kelly Ripa will also appear on the live broadcast as a special guest of 'Super Saturday,' now in it's tenth year. last year Super Saturday raised a record $2.4 million for Ovarian Cancer Research Fund with Kelly Ripa serving as one of the hosts.

When asked about the event, Kelly Ripa said, "I am thrilled to be co-hosting for the third year in a row, what better way to spend a day than shopping and contributing to a wonderful cause!"

QVC's chief merchandising officer Bob Ayd, said in the middle of Kelly's busy work schedule and devotion to her family she continues to inspire women everywhere with her genuine commitment to charity and are excited to partner with her. He also believes Kelly Ripa will also bring more attention to the annual event and it's importance in the fight against Ovarian Cancer.

The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) is equally thrilled to work with QVC for the first time as they are to continue working with Ripa, stating we are forever indebted to Kelly in the fight against this deadly disease.
