Bond Girl Dreams For Maria Sharapova

Tennis pro Maria Sharapova has a dream to be a Bond girl and thinks she'd be perfect for the role. Maria who is in London, England, just beat Chan Yung-Jan on June 26 in The Wimbledon Championships is a big fan of the 007 films. Britain's The Sun quoted a friend of the Russian tennis player as saying, "her biggest dream is to be a Bond girl. She's always talking about it." With the 20-year-old standing six-foot-two she may very well be perfect for the role as a Bond girl.

Her friend added, "Maria loves the James Bond films and all the glamour associated with the role. And with her Russian blood, she thinks she would be perfect."

Maria Sharapova has admitted she's great at spying, saying, "I'm really good at manipulating people. And I'm great at spying - I should have been Sherlock Holmes."

As for Maria's dream tennis partner? None other than Daniel Craig, who was the sixth actor to portray secret agent James Bond. She picked Russian President Vladimir Putin as her second favorite dream tennis partner.

Maria Sharapova who is attempting to regain her Wimbledon crown is going to play with her shoulder pain rather than get another cortisone injection. Maria said, "First I hate the needles. Second I don’t think cortisone is the best thing for your body, especially when you’re 20 years old."
