Naomi Campbell Pleads Guilty to Assault

Naomi Campbell has pleaded guilty to assault and faced jail time but was sentenced to community service. The 38-year-old supermodel assaulted two police officers onboard a British Airways flight to Los Angeles on April 3 while screaming obscenities at the cabin crew. Naomi Campbell was removed from the flight in handcuffs. Naomi became upset and flew into the mad rage because one of her bags went missing during a Terminal 5 luggage fiasco.

She entered guilty pleas for 2 counts of assaulting an officer and 1 count of disorderly conduct.

Her rep speaking on her behalf said, "She feels what happened was regrettable and she has come to court today to put her side of the story."

Naomi faced up to 6 months in jail and a $10,000 fine.

She was sentenced in the London court to 200 hours of community service and a 2,945 pounds ($4,604) fine.

If this was you or I, I'm positive we'd receive the full 6 months. Naomi isn't the first celebrity to receive a slap on the wrist nor will she be the last. Then again if she actually has to perform manual labor for the full 200 hours of community service that might be more torture for her than actual jail time.
