Nicole Richie has decided to postpone her wedding to Good Charlotte vocalist, Joel Madden, 28. The 25-year-old co-star of the recently cancelled 'Simple Life,' alongside Paris Hilton, postponed her wedding because she wants to look slim in her wedding pictures. Nicole Richie, who is pregnant with Joel Madden's baby was desperate to marry him before she gives birth but changed her mind. Nicole is also said to want a huge fancy wedding and realized there wasn't enough time to plan the wedding before she gives birth.

A friend close to Nicole said, "She doesn't want to get married when she's all big and fat. As with any bride, "she wants to look gorgeous for her wedding photos."

Nicole Richie, the adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie, is about five months pregnant. Nicole plead guilty in July for a December driving under the influence arrest at which time she failed the field sobriety test and then admitted to smoking marijuana and having taken the painkiller Vicodin. Nicole was sentenced to four days in jail for her second conviction along with three years probation and a 21-day court-supervised alcohol rehabilitation program.

One would think after all the hell in her own childhood, and growing up with bad parent obstacles, abandonment, forced adoption Nicole would stop acting like a fool and want loving stability of a family and provide any moral blessing for her baby and herself. She really should be quietly, quickly informally married now and have a formal reception, even ceremony in church with all the lovely wedding trimmings after birth. I hope she survives the childbirth, but at least she will have done all she can to provide her baby and herself with a respectable and mature beginning and give her husband a sure footing to lead them as a family unit.
