Model Cindy Crawford who in 2004 was a spokesperson for PETA's anti-fur campaign has now pissed off the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Cindy Crawford appeared on the cover of Russian Vogue November 2007 issue wearing a fur coat. (see cover below) One pissed off PETA member said: "What a wretched and sad excuse for a human being. I think she's an ugly person and a washed-up, withered, mole-faced hag whose career was over 10 years ago."

The royally pissed off PETA member added: "Go away Cindy, no one cares about you anymore. People who wear fur are just disgusting and vile."

Another PETA member said: "With that big furry mole on her face, you'd think she'd be more sensitive to the plight of animals. The lives of the animals she wears are like her relationships - short and painful."

Looks like you hit a nerve Cindy. Way to go girl.

PETA themselves are no strangers to causing controversy like when they created a public service announcement with Alicia Silverstone for a first-ever naked vegetarian testimonial that was too hot for TV.

Funny.. Ingrid Newkirk broke her wrist. She went to the .. gasp.. hospital.. where they .. gasp.. gave her IV's and pain killers.. gasp.. tested on animals.. I wonder why she didn't tough it out.. after all she said "Even if animal research produced a cure for AIDS we would be against it" but let Ingrid get a little thing like a broken wrist.. and "OK Doc.. I'll take the drugs.. animals be damned"
